David Price

The Reverend Canon David Price - Assisting Priest

David Price trained for the ministry in Birkenhead and after his ordination in 1963 served curacies in Rochester Diocese. He moved to Berkshire were he was vicar first of Winkfield and then Sunningdale and was also the first Rural Dean of Bracknell. In 1986 he was appointed Rector of Wimborne Minster were he served for 15 years, was  Rural Dean of Wimborne and on various diocesan committees including the Bishop's Council. He was also a Senior Selector of candidates being recommended for training for the ministry of the Church.  Following retirement in 2001 David and his wife Frances moved to Devon where he was Chairman of the Exmouth CAB. They have returned to the Wimborne area to be nearer family, including the 4 grandchildren and David can spend more time enjoying his interests in theatre, film and walking. David is a Canon emeritus of Salisbury Cathedral.
